• The caterpillar when fully grown is about 3 inches in length.
	• It spins a cocoon with a silk and emerges as a moth.
	• The cocoon is placed in boiling water to kill the  larvae and the silk is unreeled from the cocoon.
	• A single cocoon produces 300-900 meters of silk.
